The 2023 board member election will be held on May 2. We are expecting to need four new members this year and we hope you will consider volunteering to help your community.
This is an opportunity to help lead the governance of our community by offering your time and talents. The time commitment is typically a monthly meeting (usually two hours or less). Board members can also expect to spend a couple hours a month working with CMC to make sure cluster operations are running smoothly. Sometimes the time commitment can be more or less, depending on what needs to get done each month. All resident homeowners in good standing are eligible to run for and serve on the board. Effective March 2, our nomination committee - led by volunteers Carolyn Roth and Susan van Nuys - will help solicit volunteers. April 2 will be the deadline for announcing candidates. May 2 will be the election. On behalf of the current board, we hope that you will volunteer to help and are available to answer any questions prospective board members may have if you are considering running. Please check Town Square or email the board if you would like additional information. Due to the size of the trash and recycling bins, Patriot Disposal is scheduled to pick up all of the bins next Saturday, February 25th. All Patriot bins must be returned unless can truly hide these large bins out of view behind your fence or landscaping. For those who can do so, they can keep one or both bins. But you are responsible for ensuring that when it’s not trash day, the bins are out of sight as Reston and cluster rules require.
Forest Edge Drive Residents - please place the Patriot Disposal bins in the plaza the night before the scheduled pick up. Greenmont Court Residents - please place the Patriot Disposal bins on the curb in front of your home the night before the scheduled pick up. For ongoing services, please continue using your own smaller bins, or place the trash in a tied trash bag for pick up. Last week's meeting had to be rescheduled due to the school not having someone available to let us into the meeting room we reserved. The meeting will now be held virtually via Zoom on Tuesday, February 14, at 7:30om. You can find the meeting link or call-in details in the agenda posted on Town Square or by emailing boardmembers@forestedgecluster.com. Agenda items will be the same as previously posted.
The Board of Directors will conduct their February Board Meeting at Forest Edge Elementary School. The meeting is scheduled for Feb 7, beginning at 7:30pm. If you are interested in attending, we welcome you to join. The agenda is attached. ![]()
