Dear Neighbors,
The Forest Edge Cluster Association is pleased to announce that Phase 4 of our tree study will be implemented in the next few weeks. Completing this work during the winter is saving us a considerable sum, freeing funds we can now use for other projects to improve our quality of life in the cluster. This means that Northern Virginia Tree Experts, Inc. will be working on both streets to prune dead limbs, to cable top- heavy growth, and to remove 11 trees that are dead or dying and have been deemed a potential danger. Those trees were designated with red or green tape in early December in preparation for this important safety project. Today, unfortunately, we discovered that 12 of those trees have had their tapes tampered with or removed. As a consequence, the Board is forced to spend additional time and expense working with the tree company to re-label these trees before crews can do their work thoroughly. We cheerfully ask for your cooperation as crews work with our cluster to clean up our wooded areas, and we request that all residents refrain from removing red and green tape you see wrapped around tree trunks. The tape is there for an important purpose. We want to keep our cluster's residents and your property as safe as is possible. If you see someone tampering with these tapes we ask that you alert a board member immediately. Thank you. Please be respectful of the reserved parking spots designated in our cluster. As a good neighbor, please make visitors aware of our reserved parking areas. Nobody wants to come home and find someone parked in their reserved spot at night.
